Mark Fanelli always had a dream as a child of owning his own business. In April of 1992, Mark’s dream became a reality. American Computer Associates, Inc. was officially formed on April 27, 1992 and opened for business on June 1, 1992.

Mark called his business American Computer Associates because of the acronym ACA, for his wife Amy, his oldest son Colin, and for his younger son Anthony. Mark’s daughter Natalie came after ACA was formed, which Mark often joked he can’t fit the letter “N” anywhere in ACA.

Mark had many years of experience in the IT world before starting his own business. Over the past 25 plus years, American Computer Associates, Inc. became the prominent IT company in Schuylkill and surrounding counties in Pennsylvania. The wide scope of services and products provided by American Computer Associates helps local businesses and organizations grow.

Mark was diagnosed with brain cancer in October of 2016 and lost his courageous battle on June 10, 2018. Over the years, Mark embedded his hard work and dedication of his business into his employees, including sons Colin and Anthony. Both Colin and Anthony have equal parts of running American Computer Associates today.
